Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner to lead the delivery of strategic technology and data products across the organisation. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, working closely with stakeholders and Agile delivery teams to define product vision, prioritise delivery, and ensure the successful execution of key initiatives. The successful candidate will bring strong product ownership experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable product backlogs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for strategic platforms and services.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and delivery leadership to align product priorities with organisational goals.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritised backlogs.
  • Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and Agile delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters and engineering teams to ensure efficient and predictable product delivery.
  • Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritisation activities to maximise business value.
  • Ensure products are delivered with a strong focus on quality, usability, and measurable outcomes.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate product progress, risks, and delivery milestones.
  • Drive continuous product improvement, using feedback and data to refine priorities.
  • Support Agile transformation initiatives and promote product-focused ways of working across teams.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience working as a Product Owner or Senior Product Owner within complex technology or data environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks, with experience working closely with engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to define product roadmaps and manage prioritised backlogs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across business and technology teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working in large-scale organisations or financial services environments is advantageous.
  • Ability to balance strategic product vision with hands-on backlog management.
