Infrastructure Solution Architect

• Location: London City (2-3 days per week onsite)
• Rate: £600-£650 per day (Inside IR35)
• Contract: Initial 6-month contract
• Due to the nature of the programme, candidates must be eligible to obtain SC (Security Check) clearance.

We're working with a leading consultancy delivering a major infrastructure programme for a prestigious financial institution. They're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Solution Architect with a strong background in Storage and VMware to join their delivery team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise infrastructure projects, designing resilient, secure and scalable solutions within a complex, highly regulated environment.

The Role

As the Infrastructure Solution Architect, you'll be responsible for designing end-to-end infrastructure solutions across a variety of projects and business-critical initiatives. Working closely with project managers, architects, infrastructure engineers and technical SMEs, you'll ensure solutions are aligned to business requirements, technical standards and delivery timelines.

You'll take ownership of the solution design process from initial requirements through to implementation, producing high-quality technical documentation and providing technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle.

What You'll Need

We're looking for someone with strong experience in:

• Infrastructure solution architecture and design
• Enterprise Storage technologies (Dell EMC, EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage or similar)
• VMware vSphere and ESXi
• High Level and Low Level Design documentation (HLDs/LLDs)
• Windows Server infrastructure
• SAN environments
• Virtualisation technologies
• Backup, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
• Infrastructure governance and technical assurance
• Enterprise infrastructure within large, complex environments

About You

You'll have experience designing enterprise infrastructure solutions rather than purely supporting them and be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders across both technical and business teams. You'll be confident producing technical design documentation, reviewing proposed solutions, supporting delivery teams throughout implementation and ensuring solutions meet security, operational and business requirements.
