Node.js / Microservices / REST APIs

I'm currently working with an established digital software business who are looking to bring a Mid-Level Software Engineer into their growing technical team.

You'll work on the development of new features and integrations across a modern software platform, using technologies including Node.js, microservices, REST APIs and cloud-based environments.

The role offers a good mix of development, integration work and technical problem solving, with plenty of opportunities to work across a wide range of projects for a variety of clients. You'll also be provided with an excellent platform to grow your skillset and be guided by the Senior team to achieve your personal goals along the way.

The role is based in Guildford and requires office working of 2-3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop new features and integrations using Node.js and microservices.

* Build and maintain RESTful APIs.

* Work with NoSQL and SQL databases.

* Develop and support customer-specific solutions.

* Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues.

* Write unit tests and contribute to development best practice.

Experience Required

* 2-3+ years' commercial software development experience.

* Strong Node.js experience.

* Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.

* Good knowledge of MongoDB/NoSQL and SQL.

* Experience with JavaScript and Git.

Nice to Have

* Kubernetes / container experience.

* React, Azure, CI/CD pipelines.

Salary: £45,000-£50,000
