83zero were asked to provide a ‘Data Architect’ on a contract basis who would, in time, become the Programme Manager of a multi-million pound programme.

NetApp has been one of 83zero’s long-standing key clients in the UK. Following the expansion of their Global Support Centre in the Netherlands, 83zero were engaged on a large project to secure over 70 of the best Storage and Infrastructure Support Engineers.

They had successfully attracted a large proportion of these heads through their direct internal recruitment team but needed assistance in helping identify regional talent.

NetApp chose 83zero because of our specialisation and proven search abilities within the storage and support arena. With the active market already being exhausted 83zero focussed on identifying a pool of “passive” candidates using their network, referral scheme and proven headhunting approach. 76% of the candidates submitted were sourced by this approach. NetApp were very impressed with 83zero’s ability to find and attract candidates that had not previously been identified in their 3 months of searching.

Ultima Business Solutions had been searching for a Technical Consultant for over 12 months and the calibre of candidates from their (then) current suppliers were not hitting the mark. This was a key appointment to support the growth of their Microsoft practice and they had to get it right. 83zero were recommended to Ultima by one of their Microsoft Partner Managers who had previously used them as a specialist agency to help build consulting teams.

As Ultima had an established PSL already in place, 83zero were initially engaged on a project basis for this key hire at a cost competitive to their current suppliers. To better understand the challenges that Ultima had faced over the previous 12 months, 83zero met with their senior management team to discuss and advise the best approach to identify the right candidate. After a dedicated 2 week search 83zero had identified a shortlist resulting in a successful placement.

Following this project, 83zero were invited to tender to become an approved IT recruitment agency to Ultima and are now proud to be one of their top tier recruitment partners.
