DATA Product Owner

 

 

Location:               Marlow and remote

Salary:                    Circa £60 - £65k per annum

Start:                      ASAP

 

You will have the opportunity to communicate requirements and set direction on the development of the Data Roadmap. You will be reporting into the Head of Engineering, with close ties to the Product Management organisation.

 

You will be ultimately responsible for the success of the Data platform being developed, whilst also maintaining and communicating to all stakeholders a clear vision of what the Scrum teams are trying to achieve.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the Data product backlog – which includes creating, refining, estimating and prioritising of Data backlog items
  • Define Acceptance Criteria on all backlog items and verify that they are met
  • Participate in all Agile ceremonies with Stakeholders and Scrum Teams
  • Clear communication with the Development teams on the what and the why, through feature requirements and during elaboration + planning sessions
  • Make effective prioritisation decisions at the release, sprint and backlog levels
  • Collaborate with internal Product Management and Engineering leadership to report on Data product progress
  • Engage directly with Customers and Product Management to determine new Data requests and get feedback on work in progress

 

 

Ideally, you will have many of the following characteristics

 

  • You can coordinate a Data product vision and lead a development team to achieve that vision
  • You have enough business and domain knowledge to set priorities correctly
  • You can maintain a good relationship with stakeholders having the ability to negotiate and build consensus
  • You are an excellent communicator and motivator, with stakeholders, customers and the development team – challenging with respect, confident, knowledgeable, understandable and credible
  • Maintains a pragmatic balance between business needs and technical realities
  • Accepts responsibility for the Data product and ensuring the development team are being utilised correctly
