IT Field Engineer– Permanent
Salary: £20,000 - £26,000pa + £2,400 Car Allowance + Benefits

Our client is one of the largest privately-owned IT managed solution providers who are partnering with some of the largest names in the industry today.

As our client have many Service Desk Teams on various customer sites, they are looking for an individual who can provide holiday and sickness cover for staff on the different sites.
Tasks typically involve responding to and resolving technical calls, and working closely with the onsite team. You will be provided with training and learning processes to fulfil tickets for their shared service team onsite in Reading.
The successful individual will also receive training on the customer sites and with the shared services teams to get you up to speed on these accounts, meaning you will gain exposure to different angles of the company.
- Respond to customer needs on an ad hoc basis
- Learn and backfill the 2nd line onsite team in Reading
- Identify relevant problem types and associated priorities
- Deskside support to level 2
- MS Server 2008, 2012, and 2016
- MS Exchange support
- Symantec Backup Exec
- Cisco routers / switches
