Java Developer
Location - Middlesbrough
Salary - £45,000 - £50,000 + Benefits
The Client
Our client, a Leading Digital Transformation consultancy is looking for a Java Developer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity to become part of a successful team, taking responsibility for the delivery of high-quality technical products.
The Role
- Write clean and well-designed code, following best practice
- Designing, coding, testing and debugging technical solutions
- Providing legacy product support in older technologies, including involvement in moving the legacy product into newer technologies
- Working collaboratively with team members to help specify, design and develop software, meeting the product requirements
- Identifying process deficiencies and proposing solutions
- Ensuring technical products are developed accurately within budget and on time
- Working closely with the security team, ensuring that data security standards are met
- Ensuring technical implementation is technically sound, defect rates are minimised, and products are inexpensive to maintain and support
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a software engineering / Java Development role
- Experience in NodeJS and Java
- A good understanding and experience of NoSQL, SQL, and Angular
- Understanding of APIs / REST
- Unit testing experience
- Ability to identify technical risks and propose solutions
- Experience with Agile (Scrum) methodologies and project management
- Knowledge of quality standards, legislation and best practice
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
