Java Lead

£55-70k + car allowance + bonus + bens
Our client a large transformation consultancy is looking for a Java Lead to join their team to provide support and leadership for the team of Developers & Testers through all phases of development.
Responsibilities
- Provide Mentorship and Code Review for the team
- Produce Estimates for Application Enhancements
- Work with Customer and Business Analyst to Produce High- and Low-Level Designs
- Liaise with Customer to support Customer Test Cycles (e.g. SIT, UAT, OAT)
- Liaise with Second Line to support release of code changes into Pre-Production and Production Environments
- Liaise with Third Line to provide Early Life support for Code Changes going into Production
- Maintain the Cloud Based Development Infrastructure (VMWare VCloud Director)
Essential skills:
- Experience of leading a Development Team in an Agile Environment
- Strong Java Development Experience, including JEE
- Knowledge of Producing High and Low-Level Designs
- Experience of Front-End Web Development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
- Experience with Relational Databases
- Experience with consuming and producing RESTful Web services (Swagger, JAXRS)
- Knowledge of JSF
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of the following technologies:
- CDI or Spring, Hibernate/JPA
- Cucumber JVM/Gherkin (or similar BDD based technologies)
- Apache Camel, Maven, Gradle, JBoss EAP 7
- MySQL Enterprise, JMeter, Swagger/Swagger Code Gen, JUnit/DBUnit
- RTC, Puppet, Ansible, Chef
