Microsoft Azure Technical Account Manager – Permanent

Salary: £50,000 - £80,000per annum + £4,200 car allowance and additional benefits (21 days Holiday, Pension Scheme etc)

Location: Reading

Our client is one of the largest privately-owned IT managed solution providers who are partnering with some of the largest names in the industry today.

They are on the lookout for an experienced Microsoft Azure Technical Account Manager to join their team.

 

Role Overview:

 

This role will see you working with the services team as a Technical Account Manager, providing exceptional customer ownership and escalation support for the managed cloud customers.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • To own the full customer lifecycle relationship
  • Provide technical service reviews, roadmap sessions and help encourage customer cloud consumption
  • Provide high-level escalation support for azure cloud customers
  • Communicate with other services teams to develop specific solutions to customers requirements
  • Maintain up to date with Microsoft Azure and market innovation related to the cloud practise
  • Assist the services teams with transitioning service engagements into support

 

Essential Experience:

 

  • Strong Azure IaaS & PaaS skills
  • Azure cloud storage
  • Azure networking & security (VNet designs, UDRs, ExpressRoute, VPNs, NSGs, Firewalls, RBAC, Key Vault)
  • Azure log management
  • Knowledge of Azure Identity areas (Azure AD, MFA, B2B)
  • Scripting skills for automation (ARM templating, JSON, PowerShell)
  • Azure high availability, DR and backup (Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Load Balancers, Traffic Manager)
  • A background in on-premises Infrastructure to translate requirements into full cloud or hybrid workloads, such as VMWare or Hyper-V
  • PaaS skills (Web apps, PaaS SQL, App Service)
  • Experience of migrations into Azure from on-premises and associated discovery tooling (MAP, ASR deployment planner)
  • Understanding of Azure licencing principles (CSP, EA, PAYG; BYOL, Reserved Instances, Hybrid Use Benefit)
  • Azure strategy and design, including working with customers to develop cloud solutions

 

Desirable:

 

  • Cloud MCSA
