Position Overview…
The pen tester will be expected to be a subject matter expert in these tools, using them to perform white and grey box tests against identified systems, engage with stakeholders, and produce professional reports. The pen tester will be the focal point for any penetration testing within the business, coordinating and facilitating the provision of required environment access and credentials. You will also take ownership and management of all pen testing toolsets.
What you’ll need…
- Excellent and up to date knowledge of IT enterprise operating systems, applications, ports, protocols, and the vulnerabilities and controls around them
- Driving vulnerability detection and remediation processes across the business through penetration testing, engaging with project and BAU Stakeholders, identification and prioritisation of pen tests and reporting including KRIs.
- Analytical thinking to acquire an understanding of an issue or fault by systematically breaking it down into its component parts and identifying the relationships therein.
- Proven expertise in using tools such as Nessus, burp, nmap, kali linux suite, metasploit, Wireshark, ZAP, etc
- 5 Years’ experience working as a penetration tester
- Knowledge of scripting and coding languages including Bash, PowerShell, Python, Perl, HTML, Java, PHP, C, etc
- Excellent attention to detail by applying quality standards to all tasks undertaken
- Ability to work to deadlines under pressure
