PreSales Engineer (ITSM Software Vendor)
London - Permanent
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 (D.O.E) pa with OTE - £72,000 to £78,000 (D.O.E) pa

Our client is an exciting and forward-thinking global software company (SaaS) based in Central London with a strong collaborative culture. They have a cutting edge ITSM tool to complement their existing SaaS product suite. This product has been so successful it has become one of their flagship products since its release 3 years ago! They have already secured some global brands, which are true “Marquee” clients, but they want more! With their client base growing rapidly they are looking to grow their Pre-Sales capability by hiring more experienced Pre-Sales Engineers that have experience in architecting ITSM software products and solutions for end clients.
The successful candidate will be involved in the sales cycle from a very early stage, driving the “Discovery” phase and technical conversations in the room with prospective clients. Whilst developing the proof of concept, you will have a sharp commercial angle and scope to cover and introduce more products. Experience in seeing projects through to finish is essential.

Essential Skills and Experience:
Solid and demonstrable track record of at least 2+ years’ experience as a Technical Sales Engineer or PreSales Engineer in a customer facing role.
Commercial experience as a PreSales Engineer or Technical Sales Engineer in the IT Service Management (ITSM) SaaS Product / Tool market is HIGHLY desirable.
Experience of working with Sales and Business development teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections and convert prospects to customers.
You will work closely with the product management team to demonstrate and prototype integrations within customer environment.
Prepare and deliver product messaging to highlight our client’s value proposition through whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstration, proof of concept management and RFP response documents.
Work independently with prospects / customer’s technical teams on technical scoping. During the process of scoping, you may be involved in complex workflow analysis and in-depth examination of the interaction between our client’s and customer’s infrastructure.
Provide technical mentorship and training for new hires and peers.
Implement and support compliance to our client’s compliance and information security processes.
Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products.
Travel to customer locations in support of sales efforts when required.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
