Solutions Engineer (Pre-Sales) – Permanent

 

The Client
Our client is an exciting and forward thinking professional services consultancy and value added reseller based in Central London with a strong collaborative culture. They specialise in creating sustainable business transformation delivering business transformation, using and enhancing digital processes and modernising team work using cutting edge Agile methods and tools.

 

The Role
The successful candidate will be involved in the sales cycle from a very early stage, driving the “Discovery” phase and technical conversations in the room with prospective clients. Whilst developing the proof of concept, you will have a sharp commercial angle and scope to cover and introduce more products. Experience in seeing projects through to finish is essential.

 

You will have the gravitas and confidence to present solutions to end clients, designing suitable work arounds to drawer end client stakeholders together. We are looking for a Solution/Pre-Sales Engineer with excellent technical, communication and organizational skills. Any previous experience with Pre-Sales experience in Delivery, Cloud migration (Data centre/Server On-Prem to Cloud platforms) and Scaling Agile would be hugely beneficial to this role.

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Solid and demonstrable track record of at least 2+ years’ experience as a Solutions Engineer or Pre-Sales Engineer in a customer facing role.
  • Commercial experience as a Solutions Engineer in the Business Transformation and Team Work SaaS Products / Tool market is HIGHLY desirable.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development and Scaling Agile delivery (inc. SAFe and/or ITIL)
  • Experience of working with Sales and Business development teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections and convert prospects to customers.
  • Prepare and deliver product messaging to highlight our client’s value proposition through whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstration, proof of concept management and RFP response documents.
  • Work independently with prospects / customer’s technical teams on technical scoping. During the process of scoping, you may be involved in complex workflow analysis and in-depth examination of the interaction between our client’s and customer’s infrastructure.
  • Provide technical mentorship and training for new hires and peers.
  • Travel to customer locations in support of sales efforts when required (predominately London & surrounding areas)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
