Overview
We're looking for a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer with strong backend and frontend development experience, alongside proven experience leading teams, managing stakeholders and working directly with clients
You'll play a key role in delivering innovative digital solutions for enterprise clients, providing both strong technical leadership and hands-on development expertise. You'll work closely with clients, architects, engineers and business stakeholders to understand requirements, shape solutions and ensure successful delivery across complex digital transformation programmes.
Your Role
- Design, develop and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build responsive web applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, supporting engineers and encouraging best practice.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and senior stakeholders, communicating technical concepts and project progress clearly.
- Gather requirements and work with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and cloud-native applications.
- Take ownership across the full software development lifecycle, from design through to deployment and support.
- Support the planning, coordination and delivery of technical work across projects.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and secure digital platforms.
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience building RESTful microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Frontend development experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring development teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
- Experience working directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
- Proficiency with Git and platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
- Experience working with AWS or Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Experience working in Agile software development teams.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL.
